3 Ways To End Your Sadness After A Breakup

By Karli Ralston

Are you feeling depressed and lonely after your breakup? Has life lost its appeal and you can't find any joy in anything these days? You feel that if your ex would just come back to you then everything would be fine. If you could talk to your ex or feel that everything was going to be alright then you probably wouldn't feel so down.

Did you know that your sadness and depression is working against you? Did you know that you're your own worst enemy when it comes to winning your ex back? Nobody likes to be around someone that is sad and upset all the time. While a little sadness might be expected, we often fall into a pit of despair and it can be difficult to get out of this habit. In order for your ex to ever find you attractive again you need to have some self-confidence and actually be happy about yourself and your life.

If you want to improve your mood quickly, try some laughter therapy. Laughing can help you to feel better about life even if you are laughing about something external to you and your life. Funny movies or visiting a comedy club might be in order if you look in the mirror and have a difficult time smiling. If you just don't want to go out in public, which is common when you're depressed, rent a few good movies, curl up on the couch with some good comfort food and prepare yourself for a night of laughter. Search for some funny videos online and take your mind off of your troubles.

A little exercise might be helpful to you also. You don't have to become an exercise fanatic or spend hours at the gym to reap the benefits of exercise. Going for a walk or riding a bike is often enough to take your mind off of your troubles and improve your mood. When we exercise, our body releases mood enhancing chemicals that have been shown to help us to feel better about life. As an added benefit, you will be improving your overall physical health and you will be getting out of the house. Sometimes a little change of scenery can help improve your mood also.

Lastly, work on your self-esteem and your self-confidence. Start doing things that make you feel good. Read up on psychology and work through any problems or baggage that you may be carrying around. All of us are pretty damaged emotionally and we could all use some help in this department. Learning more about relationships, why things go wrong and what you can do to avoid problems in the future is a good use of your time. Watching motivational videos is a little trick that I use when I'm feeling down and you should too. You don't have to do much. You just have to sit there and soak it all in. You should feel good about yourself. After all, how is someone else supposed to love you if you think that you're a piece of garbage?

A breakup can be a devastating event in your life. It's not something that most people take lightly. When we are rejected by someone that we truly love it can have a debilitating effect on our life. Of course, we know that things will change and we will heal but many of us waste far too much time being sad and lonely and prolong the amount of time it will take to get our lives together and become attractive to our ex again. Yes, by shortening the amount of time you grieve over your breakup, you can shorten the amount of time it is going to take to get back together with the one you love. Showing your ex that you're strong, self-confident and that you have something to offer in life is an important part of being attractive to them. Remember that people like to be around positive, optimistic people and they are less likely to be attracted to depressed, sad people.
