4 Tips to Help Ease the Burden of the Holiday Season

Far from me to be the Grinch who stole Holiday Birth , but let's be honest : Even though December is a time of joyous celebration filled with parts and Happy New Year to all, for many women , it adds more pressure in the pot and excesses . Tables and filled with a long list of " to-do " to get more items added to it , at the end of the year work deadlines , parties and offices , and family reunification , and procurement activities gift , and lists planning , cards Holiday Birth to be purchased and delivered with all plans travel , we are often left feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. So , as we begin the holiday season , I want to share four simple tips to tell you that my clients ( and me) to ease the burden of the holiday season - which gives us time to really celebrate this time year , rather than the collapse of the stress and exhaustion.

1) . Monitoring your health. As Shakespeare wrote that, " This above all , to thine own self be true . " Such as shopping, gift wrapping and taking care of the business end of the year, do not neglect your health. Be aware of how you feel and act accordingly . If you are falling apart because of the tension caused by fatigue and deadlines looming , and plenty of food and / or alcohol or lack of sleep , and stop running around like headless chickens . Slow down and listen to what your body is telling you . Add some moderation in his day, and get the sleep you need. Try to reduce it seems that cookies and cakes all exceeded during this time of year , and reduce their alcohol consumption . If you exercise , be sure to keep your routine as much as possible - and not only reduce your appetite , but perhaps not least, is to relieve the pressure . If you're not a big fan of exercise , and then try to add a little extra walking in your day to park the car away from the entrance to the business center (which really will not kill a few meters walk in the store ) !

2) . Delegate . Authorization is the only way you can take care of himself with all the additional responsibilities borne by women at this time of the year by engaging the help of other people in the house , and sharing some of these tasks in the public system . This is not the time to be a control freak or a martyr . Do not drop anything on the shoulders , and take some of the " to do " on your list and put it in the hands of capable people in your life . Let it go . Otherwise, you will continue to feel the energy throughout the holiday season just started and mad and burned in the new year .

3) . Luxury trench cut some slack . Even if we can be rational enough throughout the year , and when the holidays approaching , we think things should be perfect. This quest for perfection and we will add unnecessary stress during the already stressful time of the year. Life does not become a Norman Rockwell painting just because it's December. So give yourself a break , and continue to do the best possible - within reason - the word "right" is the key term here , while seeking to achieve their career goals while maintaining a sense of reality .

4) . Last but not least , keep - or get - a sense of humor . Neuroscience can determine how laughter can reduce stress levels and hormonal literally reduce our general feeling of stress. When deadlines are imminent and additional personal responsibilities piling up on the plate , which is already overloaded , and keep your sense of humor and ability to laugh - especially for you . Do not be a Grinch and take everything seriously. Do not make things faster or better. So you can smile and laugh and do not get any , can not be very important after all!

After these four simple tips will help ease the burden of the holiday season to reduce the level of stress. This is the season to be jolly - so do not let the exclusion of women from all the fun !
